My Story
People often see the mission, but they don’t always know the story behind it.
Dear Friend,
Long before SHERO Journee existed, I was a young girl searching for love, acceptance, and a place where I truly belonged.
Like many girls, I questioned my worth long before I had the words to explain what I was feeling. I searched for affirmation, identity, and the kind of love every child deserves while trying to understand who I was and who I was meant to become.
Some of the choices I made were not because I was a bad kid, but because I was a hurting kid.
I know what it feels like to question your value, carry wounds that others cannot see, and search for answers in places that can never truly heal what is broken inside. I know what it feels like to feel misunderstood, unseen, and alone.
But I also know what healing looks like. I know what it means to overcome. I know what it feels like to find peace after years of searching.
Through faith, growth, and God's grace, I learned one of the most important truths of my life: my worth was never determined by my circumstances, my mistakes, or the love I did—or did not—receive from others. That truth changed the trajectory of my life.
Years ago, I made a promise: if God brought me through the difficult seasons of my life, I would go back and help the girls carrying the same questions I once carried—the girls searching for acceptance, struggling to find their voice, and needing someone to remind them that they matter.

That Promise Became SHERO Journee
SHERO Journee was created from the belief that having someone who believes in you, pours into you, and genuinely cares about your future can make a meaningful difference in your journey. Through intentional mentorship, personal development, life preparation, and meaningful opportunities to learn, explore, and grow, we create space for girls to discover who they are, build confidence, develop real-life skills, and explore what is possible for their future.
Through the SHERO Framework—Seen, Healed, Empowered, Restored, and Overcomer—we encourage girls to recognize their worth, strengthen their identity, develop resilience, and move forward with confidence. The framework reflects the journey that inspired SHERO, while creating space for every girl to experience it through the lens of her own life, her own story, and who she is becoming.
The Heart Behind the Journee
As a mother, this mission has become even more personal. Every time I look at my daughter, Journee, I am reminded that every girl deserves someone who believes in her, encourages her, and helps her recognize what is already within her.
I want every girl who walks through SHERO Journee to know what I want my own daughter to know—that she is deeply loved, immensely valuable, and capable of discovering who she is, pursuing what matters to her, and becoming the young woman she chooses to be.

We are investing in future leaders, mothers, entrepreneurs, professionals, mentors, and changemakers. We are helping build a generation of young women who know their worth, use their voice, develop the knowledge and skills to navigate life, and move forward with confidence and purpose.
For Every Girl
My prayer is that every girl who encounters SHERO Journee leaves knowing she is seen, worthy, capable, and deeply loved—that her voice matters, her possibilities are not limited by a single moment or someone else's expectations, and there are people willing to believe in her as she learns to believe in herself.
Because Every SHERO Has a Journey.
And every girl deserves someone who believes in her until she learns to believe in herself.
